Synopsis
Astrid, a successful cabaret artist, discovers that her unborn child has a serious heart defect and will be born with Down syndrome. This revelation turns her life upside down, as she must now decide whether to undergo a late abortion in her sixth month of pregnancy or carry the baby to term despite its mental and physical disabilities. Astrid struggles with this agonizing decision, engaging in lengthy discussions with her husband Markus, her mother Beate, and others close to her. After much deliberation, Astrid makes a choice that she is not entirely at peace with.
