Histoire
When 9 first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world. All humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. Despite being the neophyte of the group, 9 convinces the others that hiding will do them no good.
Résumé
In a ravaged world, 9 awakens amidst remnants of humanity's annihilation by machines. Alone initially, he fortuitously finds sanctuary with other animate dolls, each marked by a single digit. Despite being the novice, 9 argues persuasively that their survival demands action over concealment. Meanwhile, 9 carries an enigmatic disk bearing three symbols that could be humanity's final redemption. The first doll he encounters, 2, shares insights about their world and revels in the disk's significance, suggesting it may be their only hope for mankind's salvation.
