Synopsis
A middle-aged college professor, Dr. Philip Marcus (Anthony Hopkins), enters into an affair with a much younger student during his midlife crisis. When his wife, Mary Beth (Shirley MacLaine), discovers this, she retaliates by starting her own affair with a visiting carpenter named Charlie (Bo Svenson). The tension between them reaches a boiling point when they decide to go on a skiing trip together, along with Philip's lover and Charlie.
