Synopsis
Carlos and Solange marry after a chaste courtship but on their wedding night, Solange refuses to consummate their marriage despite Carlos' pleas. In anger, he rapes her, leading to months of sexual abstinence between them. To prove to herself she's not frigid, Solange begins seducing strangers daily on public buses and takes Carlos' best friend to a motel. Carlos discovers his wife's infidelity and confronts her armed with a gun. Meanwhile, Solange seeks psychiatric help due to feeling no remorse for her actions.

'A Dama do Lotação', directed by Neville D'Almeida in 1978, is a Brazilian drama that explores the complex dynamics of a tumultuous marriage between Carlos and Solange.
