Synopsis
Dempsey Cain, an esteemed cop, becomes paralyzed after being shot by a drug dealer. His condition causes his wife and younger brother to grow closer, much to Dempsey's distress. Believing them to be in love, Dempsey devises a plan to rid himself of his unfaithful wife and her lover using sympathy generated by his paralysis.

Résumé
Above Suspicion is a 1995 neo-noir thriller directed by Steven Schachter, based on the novel of the same name. The film follows Dempsey Cain, an honored cop who becomes paralyzed after being shot in the line of duty. The incident causes his wife and younger brother to grow closer, leading Dempsey to suspect they are having an affair. This suspicion drives him to plan a scheme to remove them from his life.
