Synopsis
Antonio Salieri, a respected Italian composer serving as the court composer of Emperor Joseph II in Vienna, becomes filled with envy and resentment towards the remarkably talented young Viennese composer Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Salieri believes that Mozart's music is miraculous and divine, but struggles to understand why God favored Mozart over him despite his own piety and talent. He finds Mozart vulgar and shocking, further fueling his jealousy. Unable to bear this perceived injustice, Salieri decides to take revenge against both God and Mozart for his own musical mediocrity.

Résumé
Amadeus is a 1984 biographical drama directed by Miloš Forman, based on the stage play 'Amadeus' by Peter Shaffer.
