Synopsis
American (2010) follows Jack, an American assassin working abroad. After a job in Sweden turns sour, Jack vows to Pavel, his contact, that his next assignment will be his last. He travels to Italy and settles in a small town to lie low. While awaiting his final job arranged by Mathilde, a Belgian woman, Jack forms an unlikely friendship with Father Benedetto and begins a romance with Clara, a local woman. However, as Jack steps away from his assassin life and into the light of these relationships, he risks drawing attention and putting himself in danger.
