Synopsis
Ray, an experienced painter, hires Gerry, an Australian woman with mountain climbing skills, to join his crew of men painting power towers in a 15-mile stretch outside Sheffield. Despite initial resistance from the crew, Ray and Gerry grow closer and eventually fall in love. Ray proposes to Gerry, but tensions rise when Steve, one of Ray's friends and colleagues, becomes jealous of their relationship. Meanwhile, Ray's ex-wife complains about his spending on Gerry instead of supporting his own children. As the job approaches its deadline, economic pressures mount, sparking the film's climax.
