In 'Bang-ja jeon', directed by Kim Dae-woo in 2010, the servant Bang-ja works for a powerful nobleman named Mong-lyong. Both men lust after Chun-hyang, who works at a geisha house. When Bang-ja learns that his master wants to claim Chun-hyang for himself, he seeks advice from an old relationship expert named Ma on how to charm her away from Mong-lyong using Confucian teachings. However, unbeknownst to him, Chun-hyang has plans of her own to improve her social status.
