Synopsis
Beatriz begins when young Juan witnesses Lorenzo el Quinto's gang assaulting a mysterious monk in the woods. The monk escapes and takes refuge at Doña Carlota's estate, where Beatriz lives with her mother. Basilisa, their servant, conjures Satan to cure her son's irreversible illness but must transfer the evil to an innocent soul. She chooses Beatriz. Beatriz becomes possessed, and everyone blames the monk for it.

Résumé
Beatriz is a Spanish horror-drama film from 1976 directed by Gonzalo Suárez. It's based on a novel and explores themes of possession, innocence lost, and blame shifted onto an outsider (the monk). The story revolves around Beatriz, a young woman whose life is disrupted when she becomes the target of a demonic possession after their servant tries to transfer her son's illness onto Beatriz.
