Synopsis
Birdy follows two friends, Al (Matthew Modine) and Birdy (Nicolas Cage), who are deeply affected by their experiences in the Vietnam War. Birdy becomes convinced that he can transform into a bird after witnessing a fellow soldier's horrific injury. This delusion leads him to be institutionalized in a mental hospital.
