Synopsis
Federal agent Alexandra Barnes suspects Catherine Petersen of being a serial killer who marries wealthy men and murders them for their money. Unable to prove this conventionally due to Catherine's mastery of disguise and multiple identities, Alexandra goes undercover. She pursues the same target as Catherine, aiming to catch her in the act and reveal her true identity.

Résumé
Directed by Bob Rafelson, 'Black Widow' (1987) is a neo-noir thriller that follows federal agent Alexandra Barnes's cat-and-mouse game with suspected serial killer Catherine Petersen. Catherine, known as a black widow, seduces wealthy men and marries them before they die mysteriously, leaving her to inherit their fortunes. The film's tension lies in Alexandra's attempt to prove Catherine's guilt while evading detection herself.
