Histoire
Ghostwriter Alice returns to Malta after an accident that caused her memory loss and writer's block. She stays in her husband Max's family villa with him, hoping that revisiting the location will help unlock her memories. Upon arrival, they meet Sara, a sensual Mediterranean woman hired to help around the house. Alice forms a bond with Sara while experiencing cryptic nightmares about the accident. Meanwhile, a mysterious stranger named Castellano starts lurking around the villa, spying on Sara and interacting with Alice. The truth about their characters begins to unravel as Alice struggles with her lost memories and writing.

Body of Deceit is a 2017 Italian mystery thriller directed by Alessandro Capone. The film revolves around ghostwriter Alice who suffers from memory loss and writer's block after a tragic accident in Malta. She returns to the island with her husband Max, hoping that revisiting the scene will help her recover both physically and professionally. Upon their arrival at Max's family villa, they meet Sara, a seductive local woman hired as house help. As Alice forms an intimate friendship with Sara, she starts experiencing disturbing nightmares about the accident. Their peaceful stay is disrupted by Castellano, a mysterious stranger who seems to have ulterior motives involving Sara and possibly Alice herself.
