Synopsis
Born on the Fourth of July follows Ron Kovic, a young man from a small town who enlists in the Vietnam War with patriotic fervor. After being paralyzed during combat and returning home to his native Long Island, Ron becomes disillusioned with America's involvement in the war. He turns against his country, feeling betrayed by the nation he fought for. The film chronicles Ron's transformation from a patriotic soldier to an anti-war activist.
