Synopsis
Call Me by Your Name tells the story of Elio Perlman, a seventeen-year-old boy living in Italy with his parents during the summer of 1980s. His father, a professor specializing in classical studies, hires Oliver, an American graduate student, as his research assistant. Résumé
Directed by Luca Guadagnino, Call Me by Your Name is a poignant coming-of-age romance adapted from André Aciman's novel of the same name. Set in the idyllic Italian countryside during the summer of 1983, the film follows Elio Perlman (Timothée Chalamet), a precocious and introspective seventeen-year-old Jewish boy who becomes captivated by Oliver (Armie Hammer), his father's new research assistant.
