Synopsis
Candy Montgomery, a seemingly perfect 1980s housewife and mother living in Texas with her husband, children, and nice home, feels suffocated by societal expectations. When she begins an affair with another man, tensions rise. In an explosive event, Candy kills Betty Gore, her friend from church, using an axe in what she claims was self-defense during a struggle.
