Synopsis
Climax follows a dance troupe who are lured to an empty school for a celebratory gathering after their final performance. As they enjoy themselves, someone spikes the sangria with LSD. The drug begins to take effect, causing the dancers to descend into chaos and paranoia as they struggle to survive the night and identify who among them is responsible.

Résumé
Gaspar Noé's 'Climax' (2018) is a surreal and provocative exploration of psychological disintegration set within the context of a dance troupe's post-performance gathering. Shot in long, uninterrupted takes, the film's opening scene is particularly enthralling as it introduces the characters and sets the stage for their descent into drug-induced madness. The movie caused both acclaim and revulsion upon its release at Cannes due to its explicit content and intense atmosphere.
