Bernie, known as 'The Cooler,' works at a Las Vegas casino using his bad luck to jinx gamblers into losing for his boss Shelly Kaplow. When Bernie starts dating attractive waitress Natalie Belisario, he suddenly becomes lucky, making the casino's high-rollers win big. This upsets Shelly who tries to break them up.
