Synopsis
Carlos Nunez (Jay Hernandez), a talented Latino football player from East L.A., attends Pacific Palisades High School on a scholarship. He meets Nicole Oakley (Kirsten Dunst), a wealthy, rebellious student who becomes infatuated with him. Despite the disparity in their backgrounds and warnings from friends and family, Carlos reciprocates Nicole's feelings. Their relationship deepens, but it faces opposition from Nicole's influential father, Congressman Oakley (Bruce Davison).
