Histoire
Creepshow 2 is an anthology horror film consisting of three interconnected tales. The first story, 'Old Chief Wood'nhead', follows a bullied boy named Randy who buys a wooden Indian chief from a garage sale. That night, his abusive father beats him severely, but when the father goes to sleep, the wooden chief comes to life and takes revenge by stabbing him with its arrow. The second story, 'The Hitchhiker', involves a series of hit-and-run incidents caused by a vengeful hitchhiker who was killed by a group of teens in their car. Each time they try to drive away from the scene of an accident, the hitchhiker appears in the backseat and eventually causes them to crash. The third story, 'The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill', is about a farmer who discovers a glowing meteor crater on his property. When he touches the green substance within, it begins to consume him, growing into a monstrous blob that devours everything in its path.
Résumé
Creepshow 2 is a sequel to George Romero's Creepshow (1982), once again directed by Michael Gornick and written by Romero. The film is an anthology of three horror stories connected through the eyes of Randy, the young boy from the first tale who becomes the hitchhiker in the second, and ultimately meets his demise at the hands of the blob in the final story. The movie explores themes of revenge, punishment for sins, and the consequences of one's actions.
