Synopsis
Jack Manfred, an aspiring writer struggling financially, takes up a job as a croupier in a London casino to make ends meet. As he becomes more immersed in the high-stakes world of gambling, Jack starts to incorporate his experiences into a novel he's writing. However, his involvement in the casino lifestyle begins to negatively impact both his personal relationships and his literary pursuits.

Résumé
Croupier is a neo-noir thriller directed by Mike Hodges and released in 1998.
