Synopsis
In the 16th century, 'Dames galantes' follows Pierre de Bourdeilles, known as Brantome, a soldier caught up in the religious wars but more fascinated by women than battle. He becomes involved with several ladies of the royal court, each one a mistress for him to enjoy. However, despite his many liaisons, it is clear that Brantome's heart belongs to just one woman, Victoire.
