Synopsis
Den allvarsamma leken (The Serious Game) follows Arvid, who shares a romantic relationship with Lydia at the turn of the century. Despite their mutual love, they face societal pressures that make their relationship challenging. While Arvid struggles to establish a stable life for them, Lydia's ambition for a comfortable lifestyle leads her to marry an older wealthy man.
