Synopsis
Matt King, a Hawaiian land baron and lawyer, learns that his wife Elizabeth is brain dead following a boating accident. Matt decides to take their daughters Alex (17) and Scottie (10) on a trip from Oahu to Kauai to confront Ryan, a young real estate broker who was having an affair with Elizabeth before her misfortune. Matt brings Alex home as they prepare for Elizabeth's imminent death. Revelations about Elizabeth and Alex's argument, tied indirectly to the issue of selling their family's trust land, lead Matt to make decisions about his future and the fate of the land.
