Synopsis
Descente aux enfers follows Alan, a renowned writer, and his young wife Lola who are vacationing in Haiti to resolve their troubled marriage. Alan's struggle with writer's block and increasing alcoholism causes tension between them. Lola begins an affair while Alan, inebriated one night, accidentally kills a black man during a robbery attempt.
