Synopsis
The movie 'Detroit' (2017) opens with the Detroit Police Department's raid of an unlicensed bar in the predominantly African American neighborhood of 12th Street in Detroit, Michigan, on the night of July 23, 1967. This incident sparked one of the largest citizen uprisings in United States history.
