Synopsis
In the early 1980s, East German officer Martin Rauch (played by Jonas Nay) goes undercover in West Germany to gather information for his spy masters back home. Disguised as a West German soldier named Moritz Hermann, he must navigate the unfamiliar culture and customs while maintaining his loyalty to the GDR. Along the way, Martin forms complex relationships with those around him, including his aunt Lenora (played by Maria Schrader), who believes her nephew has turned traitor. As Martin digs deeper into his mission, he begins to question his beliefs and the true motives of both East and West Germany.
