Synopsis
In Germany during the late 1960s, two sisters, Marianne and Juliane, both fight for societal changes but differ in their methods. Marianne becomes involved with a terrorist organization while Juliane pursues journalistic means to bring about change. After Marianne's arrest and imprisonment, Juliane remains her sole connection to the outside world. Despite differing views, Juliane continues to support Marianne, questioning the justice of her sister's treatment.
