Synopsis
Edmond Burke, a seemingly ordinary businessman, visits a fortune teller in Manhattan who tells him 'You are not where you belong.' This remark triggers an abrupt transformation in Edmond. He leaves his job and marriage behind, embarking on a journey through New York City's underbelly. He encounters various people and situations that challenge his composure, including a mugging and visits to a high-class bordello and pawnshop.
