Histoire
Angela Russo, a 16-year-old girl, is found dead near a river, having been raped and killed with a blunt instrument. Inspector Di Salvo takes on the case and suspects something sinister happening at Angela's boarding school, St. Theresa's. Three of Angela's close friends, Franca, Paola, and Virginia, who refer to themselves as 'The Inseparables,' begin receiving threatening poems signed by someone calling themselves 'Nemesis.' Strange accidents start befalling the girls: Franca is injured when her horse bolts, and Virginia nearly breaks her neck on marbles left at the top of a staircase. As Di Salvo investigates further, he is aided by Angela's younger sister Emily and uncovers a connection between the school, a local boutique owned by a questionable character, and an underground vice ring where wealthy men pay for teenage girls' favors.
