Synopsis
In 1609, three sisters from a long line of healers in the Basque Country find their lives upended with the arrival of Judge Pierre De Lancre. The judge, an expert in demonology commissioned by King Henry IV, leads one of France's deadliest witch hunts, targeting women like these sisters who possess knowledge and freedom he finds threatening. Plunged into a nightmare, each sister struggles to survive this persecution.
