Synopsis
Edouard, an unemployed computer technician, meets Diana, a young English student working on her thesis about the decline of socialism in France at Carcassonne station. They decide to spend some time together in a small mountain village where Edouard used to holiday as a child. Upon arrival, they meet Gilbert, an old friend of Edouard's mother who lives there and leads a peaceful community life inspired by the spirit of May 1968. Edouard invites Diana to stay longer and tries to convince her while also discovering that Gilbert might be his father.

Résumé
Fin d'été is a French comedy-drama released in 1999, directed by Arnaud Larrieu and Jean-Marie Larrieu. The film follows Edouard, an out-of-work computer technician, as he reunites with Diana, a young English student researching the decline of socialism in France. Together they visit a small mountain village where Edouard discovers possible paternal connections to Gilbert, a local resident living communally and inspired by the ideals of May 1968.
