Histoire
Isaac Barr, a psychiatrist in San Francisco, becomes involved with one of his patients, Diana Hughes. They embark on an affair, although it's unclear whether their relationship was initiated before or after she became his patient. Diana is married to Jack, a controlling Greek mobster who suspects their affair and threatens Isaac. Meanwhile, Isaac involves Heather, Diana's married sister, in helping him understand Diana's traumatic memories stemming from her past. Diana has a medical condition that affects her behavior when she drinks alcohol. One night, after drinking, she attacks Jack, leading to Isaac using his professional connections to try and help her avoid consequences. However, Isaac begins to question whether Diana is telling him the truth about certain events.
