Synopsis
The Benedetti family's fortune is rooted in gold stolen from the French army during the 18th century. The lieutenant guarding this treasure, Jean (Michael Vartan), is executed for a crime he did not commit after falling in love with Elisabette Benedetti (Galatea Ranzi). Elisabette curses her family as revenge, leading to generations of bad luck for the Benedettis. In present times, the latest generation tells their children about the family's eccentric grandfather and worries that the curse will continue.
