Synopsis
In Germany's only open-air swimming pool for women, rules and traditions are challenged when a group of veiled women begins to use the facility. The lifeguard, overwhelmed by the tension between different groups, resigns. A man is hired as the successor, further escalating the situation in unpredictable ways.

Résumé
Freibad (2022), directed by Doris Dörrie, is a comedic exploration of gender norms and cultural differences set against the backdrop of Germany's only outdoor pool for women. The film centers around the conflict that arises when a new group of veiled women joins the pool, challenging its existing rules and traditions. This leads to tension and ultimately results in the resignation of the female lifeguard. When a man is hired to replace her, the situation takes an unexpected turn.
