Synopsis
Jack Carter, a London-based gangster, travels north to Newcastle upon hearing of his brother's death. Résumé
Get Carter (1971) is a British-American neo-noir thriller directed by Mike Hodges, based on the novel 'Jack's Return Home' by Ted Lewis. The story follows Jack Carter, a tough London gangster played by Michael Caine, as he returns to his home town of Newcastle upon Tyne after learning about his brother's death. Despite initially accepting the police report of suicide, Carter becomes determined to uncover the truth behind his brother's demise and the secrets hidden within Newcastle's criminal underworld.
