Résumé
Set in an undetermined historical period amidst a backdrop of familial conflict, Goodnight Soldier centers around Ziné and Avdal, young lovers whose families have been embroiled in a long-standing feud. Despite their differences, they fall deeply in love. When both families finally agree to the union, it seems like the beginning of reconciliation. However, Avdal is severely injured at war, leaving him unable to consummate their marriage on their wedding night. This setback reignites family tensions and threatens the couple's newfound happiness. As Ziné and Avdal navigate this challenge, they begin exploring alternative forms of intimacy in hopes of preserving their love amidst decades of conflict and tradition.
