In Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, hundreds of Portuguese migrant workers arrive in town seeking employment at the local turkey factories around October 2019, just three months before Brexit. Tânia, a former worker and now married to an English hotel owner, becomes the liaison between these workers and potential employers due to her familiarity with the industry and language. Despite her current status, she harbors dreams of leaving this business behind by transforming her husband's derelict hotels into senior citizens' homes.
