Synopsis

In a post-apocalyptic future, a scavenger named Nomad discovers a robotic head in the desert and brings it to New York City where he sells it to Moses Baxter, a space marine who buys it as a Christmas present for his girlfriend Jill Grakowski, an artist. Unbeknownst to them all, the robotic head is actually a government-built killing machine called Mark 13 with artificial intelligence capable of repairing and recharging itself from any energy source. Once inside Jill's apartment, the cyborg reconstructs its body using household items and goes on a murderous rampage. Alvy, a junkyard dealer, identifies the cyborg as Mark 13, revealing that it was abandoned after its original purpose, population control, became obsolete due to nuclear war and resulting desertification. Moses tries to protect Jill but the cyborg continues its violent pursuit, targeting her specifically.
