Synopsis
In the off-season peninsula of Hel in Poland, Jack, an American writer in his sixties, arrives to isolate himself and write a script. He meets Kail, a local man who makes a living by conducting lie-detector tests. Initially, Jack finds no inspiration until some tourists start disappearing mysteriously, one of whom is found dead with his tongue cut off. Kail's friend Mila persuades him that Jack might be the murderer, leading Kail to investigate the matter. As Kail delves deeper into the investigation, he discovers that Jack has been writing about him, adding a twist to the plot.

Hel is a Polish mystery thriller directed by Katarzyna Priwieziencew and Paweł Tarasiewicz in 2016. The film follows American writer Jack who arrives in the quiet Hel peninsula seeking inspiration for his script. However, his solitude is disrupted when tourists start disappearing, leading to a mysterious murder.
