Synopsis
House of Cards follows Francis 'Frank' Underwood, a Democrat from South Carolina, as he rises to become the President of the United States. The series begins with Frank being passed over for Secretary of State by the newly elected President, Garrett Walker. Instead of accepting this, Frank secretly manipulates events to undermine Walker's administration and eventually seize control of the presidency himself.
