Synopsis
Set in rural Ireland, 'How Harry Became a Tree' follows Harry Maloney (Colm Meaney), who believes that 'a man is measured by his enemies'. His main adversary is George O'Flaherty, the powerful and respected owner of the local pub and businesses, who also acts as the town's matchmaker. Harry's son Gus (Cillian Murphy) falls in love with Eileen, a woman helped into his life by George. Meanwhile, Harry secretly plots to ruin George.
