Synopsis
The movie 'I Never Promised You a Rose Garden' focuses on a disturbed 16-year-old girl who has been institutionalized. Throughout her life, she has been deeply devoted to a childhood fantasy kingdom, which has caused her immense pain and suffering. Now placed in a mental hospital, she struggles between reality and her fantastical world. Fortunately, she encounters a caring therapist who aims to help her accept reality despite its shortcomings.

Directed by Anthony Page in 1977, 'I Never Promised You a Rose Garden' is a drama film that falls into the categories of fantasy films and literature-based films.
