Synopsis
In 'Images', a pregnant children's author named Cathryn (Susannah York) travels to Ireland with her husband Marc (Rene Auberjonois). While there, Cathryn starts experiencing disturbing hallucinations and visions of a doppelgänger. She begins to question her own sanity as the line between reality and fantasy blurs. Her mental state deteriorates further when she discovers that Marc is having an affair.

Résumé
'Images' is a 1972 psychological horror film directed by Robert Altman, starring Susannah York as Cathryn, a pregnant children's author suffering from psychosis while on holiday in Ireland with her husband Marc (Rene Auberjonois). The film explores themes of mental instability, paranoia, and the supernatural, with a surreal atmosphere enhanced by Vilmos Zsigmond's cinematography and John Williams' haunting score. It won York the Best Actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.
