Cassidy Harper (Virginia Kull), a struggling actress living with her mother in Chicago, takes up a job as a runner for her mother's boyfriend Ed Begley Jr., who runs an import business in the city's diamond district. Struggling to save enough money to move to Hollywood, Cassidy conspires with the owner's son Ashton Holmes to stage a robbery of the diamonds and use her former boyfriend Zach McGowan as the fall guy.
