Synopsis
Gerard Depardieu plays Gerard, an engineer who becomes a single father after his wife leaves him for feminist reasons, taking their child with her. Gerard has custody of their nine-month-old son and cares for him deeply. He then begins a romance with Valerie (Ornella Muti), the daycare worker for his son. However, this relationship threatens his custody rights. Despondent over the changing roles of men in society and the rise of feminism, Gerard responds drastically to this threat.
