Synopsis
La jaula de oro follows three teenagers from Guatemala's slums - Juan, Sara, and Samuel - as they embark on a journey to the United States in search of a better life. Along their treacherous journey through Mexico, they encounter Chauk, an Indian from Chiapas who communicates primarily through his native language rather than Spanish. The group travels together via freight trains and walks along railroad tracks, facing numerous challenges that forever change their lives.
