Synopsis
Sophie Moreau and her husband Christian live in Briançon with their older daughter and a newborn baby suffering from a serious genetic disease. The couple's marriage is strained by this tragedy; Christian leaves his teaching job to move to Marseille, closer to their hospitalized infant son. Sophie, plagued by guilt for passing on the disease, retreats into isolation, caring for their older daughter in their apartment. In the hospital, Christian befriends Virginie, a single mother whose daughter Noémie is terminally ill with an incurable disease.
