Synopsis
Dr. Robert Ledgard, a brilliant plastic surgeon, becomes obsessed with creating a revolutionary skin graft after his wife dies in a fiery car crash. He experiments on his unwilling patient and lover, Vicente, whom he keeps prisoner in his house for years. As the scientific community grows skeptical of Ledgard's claims, and Vicente escapes to confront his past, dark secrets are revealed that threaten both men.

Résumé
La piel que habito (The Skin I Live In) is a psychological thriller directed by Pedro Almodóvar, loosely based on Thierry Jonquet's novel 'Mygale'. The film explores themes of obsession, revenge, and identity through Ledgard's quest for perfect skin, which is deeply rooted in his grief over his wife's death. Starring Antonio Banderas as Ledgard and Elena Anaya as Vicente/Veronica, the movie is a blend of drama, horror, and science fiction.
