Synopsis
Lady Stay Dead follows Gordon (Chard Hayward), a handyman at a motel who harbors sexual fantasies about his boss, Marie Coleby (Deborah Coulls). In a fit of rage after she calls him an animal while resisting his advances, he drowns her in her fish tank. He then kills her neighbor Billy Sheperd (Les Foxcroft) to cover up the crime. When Marie's sister Jenny (Louise Howitt) arrives and starts asking questions about her missing sister and Billy, Gordon becomes suspicious. He rapes and attempts to kill Jenny, but she escapes and calls the police. Officer Clyde Collings (Roger Ward) arrives, but he is killed by Gordon after revealing his history of rape. Jenny flees and hides on the highway, where she witnesses Gordon's apparent death at the hands of a passing motorcyclist. However, it is revealed that Gordon survived, and he strangles Jenny before being shot dead by a police officer.
